    Description
    Listed here is a vintage silverplate chafing dish or warmer from from Wm Rogers. This 4 piece set features the stand, insert bowl, warmer and lid. The metal insert bowl, which may not be original to the piece but fits well holds 2 quarts.
    This server features classical styling details as scrolling on the around the bowls edge and on the lid, elegant ridged legs and feet on the stand. Chafing dish has a wood handle and original burner. Server is about 10" from the table top to top of the handle on the lid and is about 11" in diameter to the outer edge. The faint mark found underneath the legged bowl read Wm Rogers and has the eagle and star mark before and after the name.
    This server have been used and do show some wear marks. The copper underneath the plate shows through one bowl. There are some other minor scratches and other signs of wear. I see know dings on the exterior of the piece. Piece could benefit from a detailed polishing. We polished lightly for pictures.
    We are uncertain of age but piece is at least 40 years old. Item has been used within the family for years through two generations. Family is now downsizing.
