  • Condition: Both the double boilers show some signs of use (not abuse) from food being heated and served. The outsides of all pieces are bright and shiny, but will tarnish as silver. There is one tiny place on the lid that looks like a pock mark. It does tarnish when exposed over long periods

    Description

    For sale is a lovely vintage double boiler chafing dish.  All pieces come with it including the warmer which has a baffle for regulation.  It is a double boiler and both handles look new.  The insides of the warming pieces does show staining from food or water, but the outside is beautiful!  I think it may be silver plate on the outside since there was tarnish that was easily removed with silver polish.  The ornate legs positively gleam.  The lid has a bit of scratching and there is one tiny pock mark; otherwise it is pristine.  It measures 10" in height and 11.5" in diameter from one rim to the other.  The bottom warming piece is 3"deep while the top is 2" deep.  It would make a great piece to use while entertaining!
