    Description

    This offering is for a 1958 Vatican City 83.5% silver 500 Lire piece marking the Sede Vacante (vacant seat) awaiting the nomination of the new Pope, John XXIII. This coin is in uncirculated condition and comes mounted in the original red leatherette case (a little bit of wear). There is some bluish and dark toning, particularly around the rims. Particulars are: KM Catalog# 57; raised lettered edge; approximately 29mm in diameter; contains .2953 troy ounce of pure silver; mintage of 100,000.
