Description
BC "What's Next" Smithsonian Institute Wooden YO-YO.This wooden yo-yo was made by BC in 1995. It has a laminated, multi-color wood design and features the Smithsonian Institution's sun logo. The BC yo-yo line was produced by “Whats Next Manufacturing Inc.”
To be more specific, BC is Brad Countryman who started out a high end manufacturer of custom wood furniture. Left over wood he used to manufacture toys. Ultimately, after a series of set backs, he created "What's Next" specializing in wooden yo-yos.
The Smithsonian line of yo-yos is only one of many. A BC Smithsonian Institute Yoyo can be found in the National Museum of American History.
The yo-yo up for auction is used, has darker more earthy colors & shows wear & tear from use & age. You can feel the wood's wear specially on the edges of the yo-yo. Still, not bad condition & interesting that it was made using dark, more earthy color/stain rather than the more common rainbow style. Logo is in good shape.
Note: I am not a yoyo specialist. I research, investigate, do my due diligence to assure accuracy & ascertain authenticity. I welcome questions, comments, observations especially if something is amiss or incorrect in my description. Sold as is.
Please let me know if you are bidding on multiple auctions so I can ship items together. I will ship when all auctions end for this lot & upcoming lots.
Many thanks to yoyomuseum.com & Yoyo Wiki. Great sites to investigate & learn yo-yos.
