The vital statistics: one 1897-R Italy 2 lire coin; KM# 23; silver 0.8350 fineness, 10 g (0.35 oz) weight, actual silver weight 0.2685 troy oz, 27 mm (1.06 in) diameter.  This piece is one of the harder to find dates from the series of 2 lire coins minted during the reign of Umberto I.
