1895 Photo Boy Hugh Miller & Bernese Mountain Dog Mix Lannii Photo Maine

1895 photograph of a boy named Hugh Miller, born May 4th, 1891 in Quebec, Canada and died March 11th, 1958 Milo, Maine, with a Bernese Mountain dog mix (at least appears to be a mix and my veterinarian concurred) named Lannii.  Hugh, who is four (4) years old in this photo, is the father-in-law of Wallace Ernest Saunders, who I will be posting photos of his Ketchum, Maine logging camp and his childhood home in Hanover, Maine.  The photo measures approximately 5 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" wide.  The photo paper is the size of a cabinet card; but the card itself is smaller.  I have gone back and forth on whether or not is was trimmed down or not and I think it has not been, as the border appears to be uniform all the way around.  Probably a transitional period format.
